Wedding Spa Day Ideas and Planning

Spas are not just great locations for destination bridal showers or bachelorette parties, they also are good places for the female members of the wedding party (or just the bride on her own) to get their hair and nails done the morning of the wedding. It is also customary for the bride to give thank-you gifts to each bridesmaid the night before the wedding, in which case a gift certificate to a day spa is an excellent choice.

No matter how you plan to use a day spa in your wedding plans, you should keep these tips in mind. Most spas offer special bridal packages that reflect the unique needs of a bride and her wedding party during their visit.

Bridal spa packages vary greatly in what they cover, so have a clear idea in mind of what you’d like to include in a spa package before calling, and definitely make sure you understand what you’re getting before signing on the dotted line!

Ahead of time, know who you would like to invite to the spa and what services you want in the package. Most bridal spa packages include hairstyling and makeup application on the wedding morning, but some also feature pedicures, manicures, facials, massages, bikini waxes, and other services.

Depending on the area where you live and the caliber of the spa you choose, the cost of wedding spa packages varies greatly. Consider whether you’ll be footing the entire bill or if you will be “going Dutch” with the other bridesmaids, since this will affect the affordable price of spa services for you. In any case, check if the spa will offer a group discount if you plan to include your bridesmaids and/or female attendants.

You’ll also need to make sure the spa’s capacity is appropriate for the size of your wedding party. Even If they are not required, make reservations to avoid the “I’m sorry, we’re booked” disaster on your wedding morning. If this will be an all-day event, make sure that arrangements for lunch are made to ensure your comfort all day.

A relaxing, luxurious spa trip is one of the best things you can do during the stressful “home stretch” of wedding planning. Whether you go in preparation for the wedding day, your bridal shower, or just as a special treat for your bridesmaids, visiting a bridal day spa is a great way to pamper yourself.

  1. Hi Rebecca, it’s lovely isn’t it. I don’t know which spa it is-but I’d sure like to go. But I do know that we used a picture from Sandals.com. Perhaps they can help you. Let me know if you get a chance to go and how awesome it is!
