Insights from the bride; Alissa:

Inspiration

We picked blue and green for our wedding colors because they are our favorite colors and because my eyes are blue and Justin’s eyes are green. We decided to get married in April because it’s not too cold, not too hot, and because Justin had just graduated.

Wedding Cake

Our cake was done by Fleur di Lis Cakes. It had three tiers, 1 was vanilla, 1 was vanilla with raspberry, and the third layer was carrot cake. Justin and I both agreed that it was the best wedding cake that either of us had ever eaten.

Dancing and DJ

We are both dancers so we made sure to have a DJ and dancing. I gave the DJ a list of artists that I liked and who I thought would be a good fit for all age groups. We choose “Falling in Love with You!” by Elvis for our first dance.

So cute!

Justin’s nephew (who is about 3 years old) was smitten by a 3 year old girl. They danced, held hands, and he kissed her on the cheek!

Photography

As you know we had Marnee Marriott do our photography and loved it! She was such a fun part of our wedding day! She kept things going and our pictures turned out beautifully! She really captured our moments, I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Wedding Advice

Make sure you enjoy the day; don’t worry; roll with it. My wedding day was absolutely the best day of my life and I would love to redo it over and over. Make sure you have a list handy of phone numbers and names of everyone who will have anything to do with the wedding. You just never know.
